"Circle of Silence"

A very thin piece of local marble opened up the opportunity to explore the natural translucence of the stone.

Approximately the diameter of a vinyl record, the concept of silence from a shape associated with music seem appropriate.

The addition of light with silence gives the sculpture a mysterious and spiritual quality.

These concepts will be explored in a series of similar works.
